JUAN URDANETA

Juan Urdaneta
ARCHITECT · SALON STEINBERG · STUDIO STEINBERG

Architecture Creates Connections

Juan Urdaneta brings over 26 years of experience as an architect in Venezuela and Germany. The diverse cultural and architectural influences of both countries have profoundly shaped his approach to design.

At the heart of his work lies a dialogue between the existing and the new. He combines historical elements with contemporary architecture, using deliberate contrasts to create distinctive spatial compositions. Materials such as marble, copper, metal and wood, together with the interplay of light, colour and surfaces, define his designs.

For Urdaneta, architecture is about far more than shaping spaces. His ambition is to create atmospheres that tell stories, evoke emotions and leave a lasting impression.

For Steinberg, Urdaneta developed the architectural concept for Salon Steinberg in Essen-Kettwig. Spanning over 600 square metres, the showroom deliberately moves beyond conventional product presentation. Rather than displaying individual products in isolation, the collections become an integral part of carefully composed spatial settings.

As a member of Studio Steinberg, Urdaneta translates the brand’s design philosophy into architecture.
