International Design Reimagined

AD100 ("Architectural Digest 100") annually honors the world's most influential architects and designers – those who are consistently featured there significantly shape international design culture. With Daniele Daminelli, a long-standing AD100 designer, Steinberg gains a creator with architectural depth and sculptural precision.

The collaboration on Series 355 is understood as a true design dialogue – building on the multi-award-winning Series 350 with its clear, timeless design language.

Steinberg x Daminelli - Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026

Every April, Milan becomes the international center of design. The Salone del Mobile.Milano brings together leading brands, designers, and architects to develop new perspectives on materials, objects, and space. For Steinberg, 2026 marks a special milestone: it will be the first time the company presents itself on this important stage.

In collaboration with Daniele Daminelli, the 355 faucet series is created – based on the concept of Metamorphosis. The focus is on design as a process of transformation. Daminelli, part of the AD100 and known for his curatorial design approach, combines historical fragments and cultural references with a clear contemporary formal language. Context is consciously used as a design tool.

The central element of the staging is water as a formative component of the space. Technical components detach from their pure function and develop a sculptural effect. Material, proportion, and transitions are precisely coordinated and create an exciting balance.

Contrasts are deliberately used: clear geometries meet raw materials, order meets conscious irritation. The faucet emerges as an independent object with a design statement.

Metamorphosis thus stands for a change of perspective – from function to attitude. The 355 series becomes the expression of this idea and the central element of the staging.

Art meets fittings – and everyone stops

A trade fair presentation that combines design, technology, and art into an impressive display.

At ISH 2025, Steinberg created one of the most photographed exhibition stands: several brightly illuminated polyresin bathtubs, an oversized AI-generated portrait in the style of Dutch Baroque painting, and a peacock motif in colonial jungle style created a stage for new design series and high-quality finishes.

"We wanted an experience that made our approach to design palpable," says Daniela Wagner, Marketing Director at Steinberg. The series presented included finishes in Brushed Gold, Brushed Gun Metal, and Brushed Copper – all embedded in a stand concept that fused art and bathroom architecture.

On the set of THE END

In Oscar-nominated director Joshua Oppenheimer's new film "The End," set design plays a central role – as do Steinberg fixtures. For the luxurious bunker bathroom of the last surviving family after a climate catastrophe, Oppenheimer opted for the 350 Series. The visually stunning musical, starring Tilda Swinton, Michael Shannon, and George MacKay, combines precise design with cinematic depth.

"In productions like this, nothing is left to chance – not even the design," says Johannes Löhnert, Managing Director of Steinberg, who personally oversaw the set. The fixtures don't appear casually, but rather in central scenes where space, light, and bodies form a dense visual language.

"Tilda Swinton's presence was particularly impressive – often right next to our products," Löhnert continued. "Being part of this film and collaborating with CHANEL as costume designer is a special honor for us."

With “The End,” Steinberg proves: Good design tells stories.

An architectural statement in metal – Series 290 by Steinberg

For all those who don’t decorate rooms, but design them.

With the new 290 Series, Steinberg presents a faucet design that demonstrates attitude: reduced, precise, and architecturally conceived. Designed by Berlin-based designer Jochen Schmiddem, the series focuses on clean lines, a solid presence, and balanced proportions – an expression of modern design that doesn't overpower the space but rather supports it.

"Series 290 is intended for architects, planners, and designers who design spaces, not decorate them," says Johannes Löhnert, Managing Director of Steinberg. The series stands for formal awareness, material quality, and a restrained luxury that endures.

Design is movement – Steinberg continues to develop the successful 230 series

How design standards become standards.

Steinberg's 230 faucet series has been a staple in the portfolio for years – and has now undergone targeted further development. Because for Steinberg, success doesn't mean stagnation, but rather a commitment to continually rethinking design. The redesign takes the series to a new level: with sharper proportions, clearer transitions, and a design language that responds even more precisely to the architectural environment.

"Series 230 exemplifies our identity: We continue to develop when we recognize potential," says Johannes Löhnert, Managing Director of Steinberg. The revised series demonstrates how deeply attitude, quality, and design standards are anchored in the Steinberg brand.

Excellent brand quality: Steinberg receives Plus X Award

The design brand Steinberg was awarded the “Excellent Brand Quality” seal of the Plus X Award.

The jury thus recognizes the continuous combination of high product quality, clear design language and technical innovation in the field of fittings and bathroom accessories.

Steinberg develops durable solutions for modern bathrooms – from basin faucets to freestanding bathtubs – crafted from solid brass, with precise craftsmanship and elegant finishes. The designs are minimalist, functional, and durable.
